Corps Member Tenure

Want to Join?Corps members may be entitled to remain in the program for a period not to exceed 14 months. All corps members who earn a minimum of 900 hours of program participation will receive a certificate of Basic Program participation. Members who fail the Basic Program are eligible to re-enroll in the MCCC after a minimum of six months away from the program.

All corps members who achieve the 900 hour milestone will be evaluated for job placement assistance and continued service in the corps. Corps members who are evaluated by staff as deserving of more time in the program, may stay until they achieve 1700 hours or their 14 month enrollment limit. Corps members earning a minimum of 1700 hours will receive an Advanced Program Diploma. Americorps Education grants require 900 and 1700 hours respectively. Most members are enrolled for two consecutive 900 hour awards.
