Montgomery County Conservation Corps. Over 20 years of committment to Empowering Youth

Donations

The MCCC encourages your support through various avenues of giving and stewardship. In-kind gifts, purchasing of wood products, the tutoring of corps members in the GED program, and tax-deductible donations are just some of the many ways you can support and get involved with the MCCC. See links below on how to support the MCCC.

The MCCC needs help to meet all of its obligations, particularly in the areas of corps member development, and equipment acquisition and replacement. We seek Corporate and Foundation support in such areas as:

    • Job opportunities
    • Field trips
    • Tailored Employment Training
    • Corps member incentives: Sporting Events Tickets; Movie Tickets
    • Class Rings for successful educational achievement
    • Sponsorship of Driver's Education
    • Updating MCCC promotional video

Donate to SCA

Flex some musclesFlex some muscle for SCA! Please make your pledge to SCA through the Combined Federal Campaign between September 1 and December 15 by marking #0941 on your CFC form. Your gift will support our land, our youth and our future. Thank you.

As one of those who sees best what SCA’s volunteers accomplish for our parks, forests, refuges, and other preserves, you know how important their work can be.

SCA leverages the funding that we receive from your agency by covering significant portions of the costs, both allocable and non-allocable, allowing more work to be done for less funding. But more importantly, you see what the SCA experience can mean for young people, our conservation leaders for the future.

Join the tens of thousands who support our land, our youth, and our future.

CORPSMEMBER OF THE YEAR

Each year the MCCC, in partnership with the Friends of the MCCC, recognizes the most outstanding corps member for the year with a plaque and a $1,000 check. This award, known as the Neal Potter Corps member of the Year Award, has previously been sponsored by PEPCO, Home Depot and many other outstanding corporate sponsors.

The Friends of the MCCC is leading the search for new sources of support through corporate and foundation funding, and donations of equipment, tools and supplies. Presently Friends are seeking tax deductible donations for the following funding needs:

THE FRIENDS OF THE MCCC IS APPROVED AS A MEMBER OF THE UNITED WAY OF THE NATIONAL CAPITAL AREA

We want all of our friends and supporters to know that the Friends of the Montgomery County Conservation Corps, Inc., has been accepted as a member of the United Way of the National Capital Area for the2001 fall campaign. The funds raised from the United Way will be earmarked to support the Corps member Development Program that was mentioned previously.

Much of the success of the Conservation Corps program derives from the many incentives we employ to motivate corps members to become"all that they can be." Because of our reduced public funding, these critical corps members recognitions would not be possible without support from the Friends of the MCCC, Inc. Therefore, we request your help in supporting this nationally recognized program by designating a portion of your United Way campaign contribution to The FMCCC, Inc., - our United Way designation number is8290. Even small United Way contributions are welcomed because together it all adds up.

SERVICE PROJECTS: The MCCC is continually seeking meaningful service projects in the areas of forestry, conservation, carpentry and landscaping. We are always looking for new project sponsors to train corps members or sponsor projects.
